Jen Cobb, LMHC
I have always loved learning about human behavior and understanding what makes us who we are. One of the things I enjoy most about being a therapist is helping people navigate life’s challenges, better understand themselves, and find ways to move toward healthier, happier lives. I believe therapy doesn’t always have to be serious or heavy. I love bringing humor, laughter, and even a little fun into sessions because sometimes we need to laugh just as much as we need to cry. My goal is to create a space where people feel comfortable being themselves, feel heard, and know they don’t have to have it all figured out.
Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to explore many different areas of the mental health field, and each experience has helped shape who I am as a therapist. Lately, I have become especially passionate about integrative, whole-person health. I believe our mental, emotional, spiritual, social, and physical health are all connected, and I enjoy helping people find ways to bring more balance and wellness into their everyday lives. Sometimes small changes in our daily routines can make a big difference in how we feel overall.
Outside of work, my husband and I are busy raising our five children, along with three cats and a dog. So, yes, our house is a little chaotic, but it’s also full of love, laughter, and lots of joy! I enjoy traveling with my family, playing volleyball, running, and painting. My favorite place to recharge is at the beach, where I can slow down, enjoy nature, and soak up a little peace and quiet (which, as you can imagine, is sometimes hard to find at home!).
I also really enjoy teaching, supervising, and mentoring others in the mental health field. Giving back to my community through volunteer work is another important part of my life. Whether I’m working with clients, supporting future mental health professionals, or serving my community, I love opportunities to connect with others and be part of their growth.
